Grandparents & Special Friends Day

JK-8th Grade GPSF is a chance for your student and a grandparent or special friend to connect on campus and see what life is like at Hillbrook. Guests join us for an afternoon full of activities: a luncheon, time with your grandchild or special friend, classroom visit or a trip to the Hub, and a sing along with your Hillbrook student.

Every student is encouraged to invite someone to campus! If your student isn’t sure who to invite or feels lonely because their extended family is unable to attend in person, the Hillbrook team will make sure that every student is supported during this event. Reach out to advancement@hillbrook.org with any questions about guest information. 

Upper School grandparents and special friends can look forward to an invitation for the Upper School Exhibition of Learning on Friday, January 10th in San Jose. 
 

Any adult who plays a role in your student’s life is invited to attend. For example, this could be an aunt or uncle, other family member, coach, nanny, or family friend. Special friends of all ages and from all walks of life are welcome. Parents hoping to attend should sign up for a volunteer position.

For Mobility Needs:
The Hillbrook campus is quite walkable, but it is somewhat spread out. We will have several golf carts available to help guests with limited mobility reach the different campus locations where the event takes place. Please indicate that need on your guest invitation form.

We need dozens of volunteers to make this event a success, and volunteering is a great way for parents to attend the event! We especially need volunteers who are able to help our team set up, serve food, check in guests, clean up, and guide visitors to different areas of campus that afternoon. If you are able to help, please sign up for a shift. The volunteer spreadsheet will be shared in Hillbrook Happenings at the end of October.

We ask that volunteers please walk or ride shuttles to and from campus.
 

Hillbrook's Los Gatos campus has limited spaces - we highly encourage guests to park at Calvary Church (16330 Los Gatos Blvd, Los Gatos, CA) and ride our convenient and comfortable shuttle to campus! If your guest has different mobility needs, please reach out to the Advancement team (advancement@hillbrook.org) to arrange on-campus parking.
