  • Request to learn more about Hillbrook!

We welcome your interest in Hillbrook School and invite you to learn more about us: Visit www.hillbrook.org/getstarted.
  • Schedule a Play Date Screening or School Visit

Sharing our program with your child is important. For a child entering Junior Kindergarten or Kindergarten, a play date screening includes group activities in classroom settings and personal time with teachers. A child entering 1st-8th grades spends a day visiting his or her current grade, experiencing firsthand what it is like to learn and explore at Hillbrook. Our Admission team will contact you to schedule a Play Date Screening or School Visit after receiving your child’s completed application.
  • Take a Parent Tour

Observing a typical day at Hillbrook will give you a much closer look at our mission in action. You will tour the campus in a small group while school is in session. Tours are held on Wednesdays throughout the school year. Tours for 1st-8th grades begin at 8:30 AM and tours for Junior Kindergarten and Kindergarten begin at 9 AM. Tours are intended for parents only, and we welcome and encourage student visits throughout the admission process, including Open House events and School Visits. Parent tours require an advanced reservation.
  • Join us for an Open House

Our Open House events will give you a sense of our vibrant and welcoming community. Bring your family and spend time meeting students, faculty, and the Head of School. A school-wide Open House is held in the fall and grade-specific Open Houses are held in January.
  • Submit Supporting Materials

Ask your child’s current school to send school records and a completed teacher recommendation form directly to Hillbrook. Transcripts are required for students entering 1st-8th grades. The SSAT is required for students entering 5th-8th grades. Visit www.ssat.org for more information.
  • Learn About Flexible Tuition

At Hillbrook, every family pays tuition to their capacity. Every family’s
tuition is flexible to some degree. Hillbrook remains committed to making
an independent school education accessible for children and families that connect with our mission and vision. Visit Flexible Tuition at Hilbrook to learn more and to apply for a Flexible Tuition Grant.
  • Meet for a One-on-One with an Administrator

Discuss your goals for your child and learn more about Hillbrook during a one- on-one with our Admission team. One-on-one meetings are most productive after all other admission materials and visits have been completed. Our Admission team will contact you to schedule your meeting.
  • Middle School Applicants: Participate in The Hillbrook Way Experience

Students applying to 5th-8th grades also spend an afternoon at Hillbrook engaging in a collaborative, hands-on design thinking activity with other prospective students. During this activity, students will participate fully in what Hillbrook students experience daily as “The Hillbrook Way,” asking questions, starting projects informed by their own choice and passion, collaborating with peers and teachers, and showing their work. There is nothing an applicant needs to do in advance of this experience. After receiving a completed application, our Admission team will contact you to schedule a time to participate.
  • Notification

Our admission team reviews all applications and we give careful consideration to every applicant. We notify mid-March.

We include enrollment agreements with notifications. Signed enrollment agreements and deposits are due one week after notification is received.
