Hillbrook P.E. Teacher Paul DiMarco’s Non-profit Organization Delivers Meals to Seniors during COVID-19 Shelter-in-Place Order
When Hillbrook P.E. teacher Paul DiMarco isn't teaching our students to swim or challenging them to improve their mile-run time, DiMarco is busy running non-profit organization No Time To Waste. No Time To Waste delivers essential goods and foods to those in need within Silicon Valley.
As the COVID-19 situation rapidly unfolded in our county, No Time To Waste partnered up with the City of San Jose’s Silicon Valley Strong as well as Joint Venture Silicon Valley in an effort to ensure food security for our most vulnerable residents 65 years of age or older who are currently sheltered in place.
“These are members of our community who are in quarantine or who do not want to come out and put themselves at risk,” said Mr. DiMarco. “No Time To Waste feels fortunate to be able to meet a very specific and critical need and to actively help during this crisis.”
No Time To Waste’s long-established partnerships with Kaiser Permanente San Jose, Meals on Wheels, and Martha’s Kitchen has enabled the organization to provide over 60 meals per day to homebound seniors in our community.
