Flexible Tuition

For students entering K-12

For 90 years, Hillbrook School has been committed to serving children from diverse socio-economic backgrounds—beginning with our earliest scholars, many of whom were wards of the state. Today, 30%+ of students benefit from our Flexible Tuition program, a key way that our school lives our Commitment to Community & Belonging. Our Flexible Tuition program is available to students entering kindergarten through 12th grade with tuition ranging from partial assistance to nearly full coverage. Our Read Beyond Scholars Program additionally provides full tuition and wrap-around services for students from historically under-served and marginalized communities.

This balance of inclusivity and sustainability ensures that curiosity, not financial circumstance, shapes who can thrive here.

Flexible Tuition is offered to a family based on individual need. Eligibility for admission to Hillbrook is determined independent of an application for Hillbrook's Flexible Tuition Program.

Applying for Flexible Tuition

Hillbrook partners with Clarity to process and manage Flexible Tuition applications. To get started, please download the Clarity App (or visit their website), create an account, and select "Hillbrook" as your school. The application typically takes less than 30 minutes to complete, and you can save your progress at any time.

There is a $60 fee per family, and Flexible Tuition is shared with admission decisions to admitted families. Please visit our quick guide below, or find a more comprehensive version here.

A Quick Guide to using Clarity

Hillbrook exhausts its Flexible Tuition budget each March during the admissions process. Families who do not apply for Flexible Tuition by the deadline are not eligible to apply in future years unless they face a significant change in financial circumstances. Families who receive Flexible Tuition must reapply each year and demonstrate continued qualification. For questions or to discuss eligibility, please contact CFO & COO Margaret Randazzo.
